Terms and Conditions

In the following terms & conditions, the photographer & videographer shall mean Laura Fitchie & David Hilton, and the client(s) shall be those persons defined as the couple getting married and/or the person paying for the service.

By copyright laws, the photographer & videographer automatically owns the copyright to all photographs & video footage.

The client will allow Photo Video Weddings to display any photographs or video clips covered by the contact, which may include usage on website, facebook, advertisements & samples.

 In church ceremonies or other venues, the photographer & videographer may be restricted to where they can stand as requested from an official in charge. The is not the photographer/videographers choice and they cannot accept responsibility for any obstructed views.

Due to a variety of lighting conditions and the limitations of digital sensors, some colors may alter throughout a set of photographs and video footage.

Coverage on the day will end at the First Dance’s or 10pm, whichever comes first.

Re-edit’s are not permitted as part of the package unless there has been a technical error by Photo Video Weddings.

The wedding audio is recorded live as it happens on the day, and if there is a quietly spoken speech or reading, it may also be quiet in the DVD. The videographer shall use directional microphones to avoid disturbances in the audio, however, the videographer cannot be held responsible for noise outside of the recording range such as children, rustling, talking etc.

Equipment & Data
 The photographer & videographer will ensure that all equipment is in good working order and make sure there are backups in the event of a camera breakdown.

Data (wedding photographs & video footage) will be stored on multiple external hard drive’s for safe keeping. The photographer & videographer will take suitable precautions when handling the data on hard drives and SD cards, but cannot be held responsible for the unlikely event of corrupted data files.

A deposit is required for all bookings. This will be a minimum of £100 and will go towards the overall balance for the package. This will confirm the client(s) booking, as well as full acceptance of the terms and conditions stated by Photo Video Weddings.

The photographer & videographer may charge an additional fee to cover travel expenses.

Payment of the remaining balance will be due on the day of the wedding, or before the wedding if the client(s) wishes to pay beforehand.

In the event of a cancellation by Photo Video Weddings, the client(s) will be limited to a full refund of any fees paid. The photographer & videographer will try to put the client(s) in touch with another photographer & videographer if they are unable to attend the wedding, due to any cause beyond their reasonable control e.g. illness, injury, victim of crime, flooding, etc.

If the client(s) cancel the booking with Photo Video Weddings, the following charges will apply: Cancellation with over 3 months from wedding date £100 (Booking deposit), Cancellation with less than 3 months from wedding date, half of the remaining balance from the package will be due.

Personal Accident
 Any directions given to the client(s), guests and employee’s during a photography/videography shoot are at said persons own risk. The photographer & videographer cannot be held responsible for any personal accidents during the photography & videography shoot.
